Grish-man

"I the preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and inded, all is vanity and grasping for the wind. What is crooked cannot be made straight, and what is lacking cannot be numbered." --Ecclesiastes 1:12-15

People give their lives for a variety of different things....There is no limit to the amount of things you could give your life for, "what is lacking cannot be numbered". So then what do you do? How do you pick what to do to make your life count for the glory of God when there are so many options? "approve the things that are excellent" (Phillip 1:9-11)! Look to the Scriptures and see what are the most important things to be about.
"Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life" --John 6:27. There is labor that has only temporary profit and there is labor that has eternal profit. Seek God on how to labor for eternal things and do that!

  1. "For what thanks can we render to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice before our God on your account, as we night and day keep praying most earnestly that we may see your face, and may complete what is lacking in your faith?" - 1 Thes. 3:9-10
“This is what the LORD has commanded, ‘Gather of it every man as much as he should eat; you shall take an omer apiece according to the number of persons each of you has in his tent.’” The sons of Israel did so, and some gathered much and some little. When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat." - Ex 16:16-18
Just thankful to the Lord how He uses His body take care of what is lacking.
